In this role, you will be instrumental in building and maintaining end-to-end applications and frameworks that are critical to our trading and business operations.
The ideal candidate will be deeply involved in full stack product development, creating user-friendly interfaces and robust backend systems with a focus on production-quality, high-performance code.<br/><br/><b>Key Accountabilities :</b></p><p><p><b><br/></b></p>- Design, develop, and maintain full-stack applications featuring a Python backend and an Angular frontend.<br/><br/>- Build and maintain high-performance, low-latency REST APIs for financial data processing, analytics, and trade support.<br/><br/>- Create responsive, intuitive, and data-rich user interfaces for trading, risk management, and analytical applications.<br/><br/>- Develop and optimize high-throughput data pipelines sourcing data from internal trading systems and external market data feeds.<br/><br/>- Architect, build, and maintain microservices and automation tools to enhance trading operations and efficiency.<br/><br/>- Implement real-time data streaming and caching solutions to handle live market data.<br/><br/>- Support and drive the migration of applications to cloud infrastructure, adopting modern deployment and DevOps practices.<br/><br/><b>Stakeholder Management & Collaboration :</b></p><p><p><b><br/></b></p>- Work closely with sales & trading desks, quantitative researchers, and technology teams to deliver integrated business solutions.<br/><br/>- Gather and analyze requirements from business users and translate them into precise technical specifications and actionable development plans.<br/><br/>- Foster clear communication and shared accountability across cross-functional, global teams.<br/><br/><b>Risk and Control Objective :</b></p><p><p><b><br/></b></p>- Ensure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements, the firm's Enterprise-Wide Risk Management Framework, and all internal Policies and Standards.<br/><br/><b>Person Specification :</b></p><p><p><b><br/></b></p>- We are looking for proactive candidates who are eager to take initiative and contribute to building new frameworks and systems from the ground up, utilizing next-generation tools and techniques.<br/><br/><b>Essential Skills / Basic Qualifications :</b></p><p><p><b><br/></b></p>- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Finance, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related quantitative discipline.<br/><br/>- Proven experience in production-quality coding with Python, using frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, or Django.<br/><br/>- Proficiency in frontend development with Angular (TypeScript/JavaScript).<br/><br/>- Hands-on experience in REST API design, development, and optimization.<br/><br/>- Solid knowledge of relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases.<br/><br/>- Understanding of modern web development practices, including responsive design, state management, and comprehensive testing methodologies.<br/><br/>- Good understanding of financial markets and instruments, with particular emphasis on equities.<br/><br/>- Familiarity with data manipulation and numerical libraries like Pandas and NumPy.<br/><br/>- Strong problem-solving abilities and a structured, analytical approach to work.<br/><br/>- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.<br/><br/><b>Desirable Skills / Preferred Qualifications : </b><br/><br/></p><p>- Professional experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).<br/><br/>- Understanding of Prime Brokerage services and the securities financing business.<br/><br/>- Experience with modern frontend state management and reactive programming tools (e.g., RxJS, NgRx).<br/><br/>- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices.<br/><br/>- Previous experience working in financial services, investment banking, or a proprietary trading environment.<br/><br/>- Knowledge of market data vendors (e.g., Refinitiv, Bloomberg) and standard financial data formats.</p><br/></p> (ref:hirist.tech)
