You will play a key role in building robust RESTful APIs, integrating databases, managing caching layers, and ensuring high performance and reliability across services.<br/><br/>Youll collaborate closely with frontend developers, DevOps engineers, and product teams to deliver secure, efficient, and maintainable backend solutions in a fast-paced, agile environment.<br/><br/><b>Key Responsibilities :</b><br/><br/><b>Backend Development & Architecture :</b><br/><br/></p><p>- Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs and backend microservices using Python (FastAPI).</p><p><br/></p><p>- Architect scalable, high-performance systems that can handle real-time data operations.<br/><br/></p><p>- Implement asynchronous programming patterns for efficient I/O and concurrency in Python.<br/><br/></p><p>- Develop and manage database schemas, queries, and transactions using PostgreSQL/MySQL.<br/><br/></p><p>- Utilize Redis for caching, session management, and message brokering to enhance performance.<br/><br/></p><p>- Integrate external APIs and third-party services into the backend ecosystem.<br/><br/><b>System Reliability & Optimization :</b><br/><br/></p><p>- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following best practices and coding standards.<br/><br/></p><p>- Conduct code reviews, unit testing, and integration testing to ensure software quality.<br/><br/></p><p>- Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting mechanisms to maintain system health.<br/><br/></p><p>- Optimize backend performance through query tuning, caching, and load balancing.<br/><br/><b>Collaboration & Workflow :</b><br/><br/></p><p>- Work closely with frontend developers to define API contracts and ensure seamless integration.<br/><br/></p><p>- Collaborate with DevOps on CI/CD, containerization, and deployment pipelines.<br/><br/></p><p>- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, contributing to sprint planning, estimation, and retrospectives.<br/><br/></p><p>- Document APIs, workflows, and technical decisions clearly for internal teams.<br/><br/><b>Qualifications :</b><br/><br/><b>Education :</b><br/><br/></p><p>- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).<br/><br/><b>Experience :</b><br/><br/></p><p>- 4 to 6 years of experience in backend development using Python.<br/><br/></p><p>- Proven experience building RESTful APIs and scalable backend systems.<br/><br/></p><p>- Hands-on experience with FastAPI, Redis, and PostgreSQL/MySQL.<br/><br/><b>Technical Skills :</b><br/><br/></p><p>- Python (expert-level), familiarity with async/await, asyncio, etc.<br/><br/></p><p>- FastAPI (preferred), Flask, or Django.<br/><br/></p><p>- Strong SQL knowledge with PostgreSQL or MySQL; understanding of database design, indexing, and optimization.<br/><br/></p><p>- Experience using Redis for caching, pub/sub, or queueing.<br/><br/></p><p>- Docker, Docker Compose, CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.).<br/><br/></p><p>- Git, with collaborative branching strategies (GitFlow, trunk-based development).<br/><br/></p><p>- Familiarity with pytest, unittest, or other Python testing frameworks.<br/><br/></p><p>- Knowledge of OpenAPI/Swagger documentation and REST best practices.<br/><br/></p><p>- Understanding of authentication, authorization, and secure API development (OAuth2, JWT).</p><br/><p></p> (ref:hirist.tech)
