<p><p><b>Description : </b></p><br/><p>Responsibilities : </p><br/><p>- Work as part of a software development team to contribute to current product development projects involving data and basketball statistics ingestion, storage, and analysis.</p><br/><p>- Develop test-driven software features for enterprise-level software products and infrastructures.</p><br/><p>- Contribute to full-stack cloud-based development projects that help build the next generation of fan-facing products.</p><br/><p>- Investigate and resolve consumer-submitted software and data issues.</p><br/><p>- Monitor live data delivery during games and respond confidently to outages and other issues if they arise.</p><br/><p>- QA new stats-based digital products and features as part of the software release cycle.</p><br/><p>- Perform data analysis tasks to support content and broadcast teams.</p><br/><p>- Perform data entry tasks to both correct official data and create additional datasets for Machine Learning projects.</p><br/><p>- Create and automate data reports for other departments.</p><br/><p>- Work with other stakeholders to finalize technical plans and specifications for development projects.</p><br/><p>- Contribute ideas for new products powered by our data so that we can better engage our fans.</p><br/><p><b>Requirements : </b></p><br/><p>- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.</p><br/><p>- Perform quality work and communicate effectively in a remote and asynchronous environment without direct supervision.</p><br/><p>- Programming experience and/or coursework in Python, C#, .NET, JavaScript, SQL, or Java.</p><br/><p>- Backend experience developing API systems and infrastructure.</p><br/><p>- Full-stack programming experience with cloud-native applications.</p><br/><p>- Experience with ingesting, storing, and retrieving data from databases.</p><br/><p>- General understanding of DevOps best practices.</p><br/><p>- Experience with Kafka, Apache Flink, Kubernetes, Databricks, Apache Spark, Spark SQL, and/or PySpark is a plus.</p><br/><p>- Experience with Amazon Web Services is a plus.</p><br/><p>- Previous Apache Airflow experience is a plus.</p><br/><p>- Practical experience with data analysis techniques, including modeling and clustering, is a plus.</p><br/><p>- Experience crafting data visualizations is a plus.</p><br/><p>- Basketball experience is a plus.</p><br/><p>- Display an aptitude for taking the initiative to go above and beyond.</p><br/><p>- Work effectively as a team contributor on all assignments.</p><br/><p>- Ready and willing to learn from other members of our team.</p><br/><p>- Detail-oriented with a desire for seeing projects through to completion.</p><br/><p>- Work independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with other employees and organizations.</p><br/></p> (ref:hirist.tech)
